As the weather gets colder, and the days get a little shorter, the effects of winter can be felt in the Byward Market.

While the vendors may be slowly closing up shop, our girls are only just starting to get creative. New to our line-up of Stuffed Chicken Breasts this season are the Apple, Sage, Nutmeg and Pork Stuffed Chicken Breasts as well as the return of a customer-favourite: the Apple and Sausage Stuffed Pork Chops.

'Tis the season for roasts and stews. On site, we always have a fantastic selection of stewing meat: Beef, Lamb, and Veal to name a few. Our staff is always happy to make suggestions for new things to add to your soup. Why not try mixing lamb and beef in your next meal?

While the winter months can feel boring and never-ending, the food does not have to reflect that. Why not try a twist on one of your traditional recipes? Subsitute short ribs for stewing beef or cook a butterflied chicken in the oven instead of just on the BBQ.
